BITS pilani has started first of this kind in Indian History a collaboration with a pvt.. company and start course with their collaboration

Objectives and cource plan
The objectives of this programme are:
· To bring industry and academia close to each other through various interaction programs. Such a partnership shall enable academic institute and its students to get an opportunity to interact with the real world.
· Meet the strategic intent of the company to create pool of young engineering talent capable of developing world class, innovative and high quality products through good industry orientation. This in-turn should enable TVS to be a major global player in automotive industry.

Benefits to Participants: The participants of this program would acquire higher level of competencies based on their exposure to
· Best practices in modern techniques of manufacturing
· Leadership technologies and products,
· World-renowned experts in manufacturing and technology aspects.
· Industry experts in various areas of engineering.
Competencies are focused to the roles and participants on completion would be nearly ready to absorb as professionals.

Career Path:
· On successful completion, the participants would be absorbed in Research and Development, Production Engineering Division, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Supplier Development Departments of TVS Motor Company Limited or in Components Division of TVS.
· The successful participants from this program would be inducted at higher level compared to their peers from other institutes and with higher emoluments.
· Participants on joining the company are expected to progress better due to better foundation and learnability.
· The participants from this program would also be considered for and offered post-graduation program in premier institutes in Europe and India after completion of 2 to 3 years.
· Participants with high potential would be provided accelerated path.

Sponsorship:
· Students of this program would be sponsored. All the academic expenses inclusive of admission fee, tuition fee, hostel fee, advance for mess and electricity and fee for industrial practice would be borne by the company.
· The company has also undertaken to support the students for:
o Living expenses, travel expenses, medical insurance and medical expenses.
o Books and stationery expenses.
o Living expenses during industrial practice.
· Company shall provide stipend to the students during industrial practice and out-of pocket allowances during course work in institute.

Commitment from student: Participants of this program would be able to leverage their exposure to industry and well-known experts for better career growth. Considering expenses for the program, the participants are expected to execute an agreement to serve the organization for a period of minimum three years.
